One if by land, two if by sea

Thrivent (Jason's employer) puts on an annual conference for all of its top producers, and this year Jason qualified. Yay, vacations! The conference was held in Boston, and it marked our first time traveling with a youngin'. Here are some trip highlights.

Lucie behaving well on the plane. We introduced her to the wonderful world of iPods, and she was appropriately delighted.

Making art at the Children's Museum.

One of the stops on the Freedom Trail

Lucie relaxing in what are allegedly the most uncomfortable seats in major league baseball: Fenway Park's grandstand

A DUCK- An amphibious WWII vehicle that took us on a driving and floating tour of Boston and the St. Charles River.

The swan boats at Boston Public Garden

Lucie throwing a major tantrum in Boston Public Garden. Bystanders seemed pretty entertained.

Back in the hotel room, looking cherubic after her meltdown.

We had a really good time. Thrivent covered airfare, accommodations, most meals for Jason and myself, some sightseeing, and they even gave us a stipend for extra meals and activities. Employees do have to pay for thier children, but since Lucie flies for free, it didn't really cost us anything extra. Next year the conferences will be in Washington DC, Banff, and Dublin, depending on each employee's level of productivity. Mama wants to go to Ireland, so call my husband if you need some life insurance or mutual funds or other financial services!
