welcome to us, our little song
We're home from the hospital, and Lucy Hope Carter is with us. She was born 10/18 at 4:47. She weighed 6 lbs and was 18 1/2 inches long. She gave us a pretty good scare; the cord was wrapped around her neck, so she wasn't breathing at first, but she came around pretty quickly and is a plucky little thing. She is having some of the minor difficulties associated with early babies- jaundice, heart murmur, and difficulty breastfeeding, so prayers would be appreciated. However, she is strong and was well enough to come home. (And she kicked the crap out of all of the doctors who kept sticking her with needles. Go Lucy!) Pictures will arrive shortly!

WOO LUCY! WOO ALLI! WOO HOMELESS GUY!
I'd like to add that Alli did it all without pain meds. In fact, she was yelling, "IS THAT ALL YOU GOT BABY? IS THIS YOUR IDEA OF A CONTRACTION? C'MON... A SEVEN YEAR OLD COULD INFLICT MORE PAIN!"
Alli is one bad mother.
