Last week the candle factory burned down. Everyone just stood around and sang Happy Birthday

Last weekend was Lucie's big birthday bash, and it was quite the extravaganza. Twenty family members (and Auntie Sam) were there to celebrate, and it made me realize how blessed we are to live so close to both of our families. Not only do we have a waiting list for babysitters, but everyone is able to celebrate the big milestones with us. Here are a few pictures of the festivities. I only took a few since Sara was the official event photographer. I'll post some more when she sends me hers.

The cake! Lucie loves duckies!

The decor. Ducks, ducks, and more ducks.

Her first piece of cake. She was a much daintier eater than we had expected.

After the party: "But Mommy, I WANTED a Bratz doll! Get me a Bratz doll NOW!"

I've said it before and I'll say it again: that cake was AWESOME.

Wow! I can't believe you made that cake... it's beautiful :) What an awesome (and handy) talent to have.

Thanks, Becky! I'm available for birthdays, showers, weddings, bar/t mitzvahs, and any other occasion that may warrant cake consumption. BTW-I check out your blog as well. I particularly loved your final assessment of the Harry Potter series.
