It is by vivacity and wit that man shines in company; but trite jokes and loud laughter reduce him to a buffoon

Oddity of the month, Part One
Skulk-boy and company ask me if I will choreograph a mime routine for Talent Show. While they wait for my response, Student X good-naturedly teases Skulk-boy. Skulk-boy pauses, turns to Student X, says matter-of-factly, “Don’t worry; I’ll kill you after class,” then resumes conversation with me without missing a beat.

I love my job.

Other phrases of choice from the above-mentioned student:
“I’m going to throw a flaming football at you.”
“I will burn down your house if you don’t keep your feet on your side.”
“Come on! We’re all adults here,” After I gently rebuked him for cursing during a banned book report. (He thought I wanted him to actually say the words he found in the book.)

Yeah…They wanted me to choreograph a MIME ROUTINE.
